How do I determine my body shape?
You can use our super simple Shape Finder found here. If you don’t know, you’re not alone. Only 1 in 10 women are confident in their shape (yet that’s every stylist’s starting point).
What if I don’t identify with any of the body shapes?
X, H, A, V, O are a guide to the five most common and ‘highest common denominator’ shapes so to speak. There are naturally variations within the shapes that come from height, long vs short waisted builds, and just because. A good approach if you fall between shapes is to follow the style tips for the shape your upper body most resembles and to follow the style tips for the shape your lower body most resembles. As we bring more real women models into the Smithery portfolio, there will be more tangible references of the variations in body shapes for us all to look to. If you have a specific question we can help with, send us a note at email@example.com and we’d be happy to chat body shape.

Where is Smithery home base?
We're now home based in the suburbs of Toronto and ship to our friends all across Canada and the US. Our showroom is located at 103 Mary Street W, Whitby.
Where are the clothes from?
We’ve curated brands from Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, Paris, LA, New York, Denmark... Our goal is to uncover unique brands that offer styles in really flattering cuts for different body shapes and showcase them on the site. We’re also always on the look out for new brands out of Canada or North America. We enthusiastically welcome any and all feedback on your Smithery purchases so we can continue to hunt down the very best basics and stay true to our commitment to style and quality.
Why isn’t every item photographed on every model?
We curate a collection of Go-To pieces every season that easily mix and match together and with other basics in your wardrobe. We only shoot the most complimentary for each body shape on the models to show how the different pieces can be worn. That helps us get through a shoot day without making our models go nuts! But we do provide every measurement for every size (you can find them in the product descriptions) of every item to help make it easier to select clothes from home.
What colour tights should I wear?
In our humble opinion, always black opaque. Always. People always ask that so had to get this one in there!
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express. All payments are processed through a secure checkout system provided by Shopify.com. Your purchases will show up on your bill as “Smithery”.
Can I change my order once it has been placed?
Before your purchases have been prepared for dispatch we can cancel an item, change the size or edit your shipping details. However, we are unable to combine orders or add pieces to an existing order once it has been placed. If you need to make any amendments, please email email@example.com.
What does the price of piece of clothing represent?
